Autonomous ready
The Steer-by-Wire system is SAE Level 5 (driving automation) and can be used with automated driving as well as with a driver. It also allows for smooth transitions between the two modes or ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) functions
Variable Steering Ratio
Leveraging scenario-based variable steering ratio enables improved safety, driving experience, and yoke steering.
Compact and Modular
Made of distributed components, Steer-by-Wire is a multi-platform steering system. Enabling integration in right-hand drive, left-hand drive, and adapted vehicles. The modularity of the system allows for an optional 4-wheel steer.
Scalable Architecture
The Steer-by-Wire components are scalable and adaptable to various vehicles increasing shared content between platforms.
Ease of Integration
The decoupled components of the system can be installed with great flexibility in order to optimize suspension and steering geometry. The system improves crashworthiness and occupant safety.
Individual Wheel Position Control
Wheel adjustments are automated during production and service. This allows time and cost savings during production and servicing, the process is also tool-less.
